Project by Students from Raffles Junior College
6 Nov 2006
4 students from Raffles Junior College proposed a three-pronged approach to keep up the momentum. Firstly, they suggested to establish contact with the mentally ill patients to encourage them to speak up and be heard. Secondly, a Mental Health Awareness Week would aid the removing of stigma of mental illnesses through reaching out to general public. Lastly, a media watch programme would reduce stigmatising images of people with mental illness in the media.
